Person of Interest in Brown University Incident Located Dead Inside Storage Unit.

The individual linked to the weekend's deadly violence at Brown University authorities state died by suicide on Thursday night, according to officials.

He was found at a storage facility on Thursday evening, according to information citing an official source. The same individual is also suspected of killing a Massachusetts Institute of Technology professor at a residence in the Boston area.

β€œHe took his own life this evening,” announced the head of the Providence police department during a press conference.

The police official named the deceased man as Claudio Nevis Valenti, a 48-year-old individual enrolled at Brown University.

This development follows a significant law enforcement operation at a storage facility in Salem, New Hampshire earlier on Thursday. Journalists on scene reported seeing multiple agents in tactical gear converging on the location.

The intensive search for the shooter had resumed on Monday after the attorney general's office announced that a person of interest on Sunday had been released. This turn of events was admitted to be likely to cause fresh anxiety for the city residents.

City leadership noted that while the letting go was a disappointment, the broader investigation continued without interruption.

The two students who were killed in the attack have been identified. They are Ella Cook, a sophomore from Alabama who was active in a campus political group, and MukhammadAziz Umurzokov, an international student in his freshman year who dreamed of becoming a neurosurgeon.

Officials are expected to hold a press conference to deliver additional information on the circumstances of the death.
